Sharing Our Songs & Stories: Talk by Nicholas WIlliams
The first of the three special events organised by the Museum as part of our celebration of the life of Ella Mary Leather took place on the 10th June.
Nicholas Williams, who works at the music publishing company of Stainer & Bell Ltd in London, and who is an acknowledged expert on the life of Vaughan Williams, gave a talk on ‘An Exceptional Legacy – Ella Mary Leather, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and the songs of old Herefordshire’. The forty people who came to listen thoroughly enjoyed themselves. One person commented afterwards “The talk was fantastic! As a local person and family of many generations I was astounded by this history, unknown to me previously. It will change my perspective. A truly memorable evening!”
