Launch of the 2025 season

The 2025 season started with a very successful launch at the Museum on 12th April 2025.

The celebrations began with a short speech by Geoffrey Crofts, the Chair of the Museum trustees, and another from Mrs Margaret Conod, a well known and popular resident of the town.

Tea, coffee and the usual hot cross buns were served, and were supplemented by a fantastic range of food made from wartime recipes to tie in with the theme of our temporary exhibition this year about VE Day in 1945. Thank you to Gaynor and everyone else who helped.

The Museum is now open six days a week until 1st November 2025. For more details about opening hours, check out our home page!
